A tribute to Princess Victoria Gouramma
The first non-white British royal, Princess Gouramma was a symbol of grace and resilience — a story of heritage, identity, and quiet strength that continues to inspire.
We created three sarees inspired by her journey — each one unique, each pushing the boundaries of traditional craftsmanship. Together, they form a woven narrative of experimentation, emotion, and elegance — culminating in our final ideation The Red Gouramma Zari Saree
A radiant red gaysar saree using 4g real gold zari. Made with the kadiyal technique and enhanced by intricate extra weft work, it carries the weight of royalty, tradition, and innovation — our most expressive homage to Princess Gouramma’s legacy.
Base and Technique:
Each saree is based on soft mul cotton 400 count, ensuring comfort and elegance in its drape. The body of each saree is woven with the kadwa heirloom jaal work technique, an intricate method that reflects the rich craftsmanship and regal beauty of the sarees, aligning with the heritage and strength of Princess Gouramma.
